Drive funds to help education
The sum of £23,000 raised on the 1966 tractor and trailer drive from John oGroats to Lands End in support of the British beef and dairy industry has been allocated by the One Million Cows trustees to two organisations. The British Food and Farming Education Service, Stoneleigh, Warks, receives £20,000 to promote farming in schools and colleges with an imformation pack, newsletters and a visiting schools officer. The balance of the fund goes to the Scottish Farm and Countryside Trust.
