DuPont agricultural earnings fall
THE agricultural and nutrition arm of DuPont posted a 13% fall in earnings in the second quarter, largely due to weakness in the US crop protection business.
The fall came as the US chemicals and life sciences company reported improved profitability in the second-quarter across the group.
DuPont reported earnings from continuing operations at $886 million (£558m) for the first six months, compared with $839m last time. Sales for the quarter rose 9% to $7bn (£4.4bn).
