Enstone herd snapped up to top 1000gns

TOP price was 1000gns when the Enstone herd of Holstein Friesians was dispersed for Messrs John Higgs Farms, at Easton, Oxon.

Among the 12 cows and heifers snapped up by Bicester buyers A E Phipps and Son was the top-priced one, the 1995-bred heifer Enstone Milton Hub, a daughter of Genus Milton.

A 1994-bred cow by Hanoverhill Victor, Ermington Seabreeze, reached 920gns to J Hitchins, Kings Norton while other cows, including daughters of Rowntree Coronado, sold to 915gns and 765gns. Thirteen cows made over 800gns. Served heifers averaged £625. (Bruton Knowles) &#42
