FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 17 independent organisations. Together, we take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to almost 11,000 frontline charities and community groups. The food we redistribute is nutritious, in-date and good to eat. It reaches charities across the UK, including school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters, and community cafes. Every week we provide enough food to create almost a million meals for vulnerable people.
Thanks to the Surplus with Purpose Fund from FareShare, food businesses could access up to £50,000 worth of funding to help manage food waste and divert it to frontline charities.
As the UK’s largest food redistribution charity, FareShare can help food companies offset costs associated with reducing waste, whilst redistributing it to charities and community groups supporting vulnerable people across the UK.
By working with FareShare, you can work towards your organisation’s environmental objectives and reduce your food waste, whilst the Surplus with Purpose Fund helps cover additional costs such as storage, transportation, packaging and labour costs, incurred by redirecting your surplus food.
