Extended grazing could help milk prices


EXTENDING the grazing season – coupled with low-imput systems – could be the way forward for dairy farmers battling poor milk prices, according to John Bax who is a dairy systems specialist at Crichton Royal.


Speaking at a conference organised by the British Grassland Society, Mr Bax offered tips to farmers trying to cope with poor milk prices which are hovering around 20p/l mark.
