Extra grain purchasing ends Polish row
THERE has been agreement among Polands governing coalition on a Government plan to purchase an extra 300,000 tonnes of grain from farmers.
The agreement has resolved a row over budget funding for purchasing the crop for this years harvest. The Polish Peasant party (PSL) had threatened to sever ties with its coalition partner, the reformed communist Democratic Left Alliance (SDL), on the eve of parliamentary elections unless the issue was resolved.
