THE Pork Product of the Year Awards, organised by the ML, have attracted a record entry of 329 products from 106 manufacturers. The three categories of award – retail, catering and healthy eating – carry a total prize money of £50,000.

ALAN Stewart, formerly of SAC, is the new pig specialist at Harper Adams. The college is currently updating its pig facilities.
