Farm woman ‘driven to suicide attempt’

FARMWORKER Irene Schoebella tried to commit suicide because of her treatment in a male-dominated workplace, an employment tribunal was told this week.

Ms Schoebella said she was expected to lift 50kg bags of pig feed and sworn at when she expressed dissent at the pig farm at Nigg, Easter Ross.

Her sex discrimination case is being heard at Inverness.
