Farmer fined over rotting carcass

A FARMER who left the carcass of a cow to rot in a field was yesterday fined £1500.

Derek Earsdon, 64, of Newmilns, Ayrshire, admitted leaving the animal unburied.

Ministry of Agriculture staff found it in a ditch when they arrived unannounced at his farm in May.
