Farmers take pig protest to
the retailers’ front door

ABOUT 300 pig farmers protested outside the British RetailConsortium in London yesterday, against the willingness of supermarkets to buy pork and bacon from cheaper foreign suppliers.

The farmers claim French and Dutch pigmeat is produced in conditions that are illegal in Britain.
