Fast food chain puts British on menu

FAST food franchise chain Burger Master is putting British beef back on the menu at its Welsh restaurants.

The move follows similar decisions by MacDonalds and Burger King, who reported improved consumer confidence in beef. Julian James, Burger Master managing director, said the company had a duty to respond to its customers concerns and demands.

"With the current upturn in confidence that our countrys beef is safe to eat, we acted to support the recovery of the British beef industry," he said.

"With outlets in areas which are at the heart of the Welsh livestock industry, we were aware of the difficulties farmers faced." &#42
