TAKE the backache out of testing electric fences with the hand-held FenceMaster from Tonbridge-based ATC.

Dispensing with the need for an earth lead, the compact pocket-sized unit measures electric pulses by placing the metal tip on electric fence wire. FenceMaster also features an automatic on and off switch mechanism, which should preserve the PP3 batterys life.

Super bright LEDs show pulse strength even in bright daylight, says ATC. The first pulse turns the unit on and a second pulse lights up the LED display divided into 1000v bands.
