FFA slams 1p rise from Express
THE Express Milk Partnership has announced a price rise from October of
1p/litre.
Although above some industry estimates, it is in sharp contrast to Farmers
For Actions claim that the market can stand a rise of 3p/litre across the
board and that supermarkets have accepted the need for a substantial
increase if their supplies of winter milk are to be safeguarded.
An FFA spokesman said “We are very disappointed in the Express Milk
Partnership and its chairman Richard Smith. We feel he has let us all down.
FFA is now considering its position but it is very likely that we will be
blockading Express Dairies before long.”
