Fishers Feeds sells
FISHERS Feeds has shed its ruminant feeds operations to concentrate on pig and poultry markets.
The ruminant customer base from the northern part of its trading area has been sold to Pye Frankland Balanced Feeds. The southern section has been transferred to Fishers sister company ABN.
The firms mills at Cranswick, Northallerton, Fridaythorpe and Gainsborough will now produce 600,000t a year of pig and poultry bulk and bagged feeds.
The move takes Lancs-based Pye FBFs £6m Lansil mill to near capacity. The company also takes on Fishers agreement with Agri-Trade Direct, based in Co Durham, supplying it with more than 20,000t of feed a year. *
