Fruit and vine Renaults
RENAULT Agricultures decision to buy a 16.66% share in Italian tractor manufacturer Agritalia will result in a new range of vineyard and fruit tractors.
Agritalia, based at Venetia and now jointly owned by Finaid, Carraro SPA and Renault, specialises in the design, manufacture and sale of such tractor types. It will be recalled that Renault and the Carraro group have worked together for a number of years with Agritalia designing and manufacturing the Renault Vineyard, Fruit, Herdsman and Groundsman range of tractors.
Last year, these ranges accounted for 20% of Renaults home and export market sales. *
