GAIN FROM GRAIN
GAIN FROM GRAIN
WITH feed grain prices at their lowest levels for years, increasing numbers of producers are turning to home-grown grain to provide cheaper, more traceable winter rations.
In response to this and the rising number of grain preservation techniques available, farmers weekly, in conjunction with Richard Keenan (UK), invite you to a practical conference to learn more about the latest developments in the processing and feeding of cereals.
The conference will run at three venues and aims to help beef and dairy herd managers make the most of home-grown cereal crops and purchased cereals.
Speakers for the three conferences, which will feature the latest developments in processing and feeding cereals, are:
lLiam Sinclair from Harper Adams College, who will talk about the various options available for producers considering whole-crop forage.
lColin Shorrock of FSL Bells, who will speak about the benefits of crimped cereals.
lPete Kelly from Green and Kelly consultants, who will discuss whole grain treatment options and the advantages of feeding slowly degradable starch.
lDavid Jacklin of Richard Keenan (UK), who will speak about feeding home-grown forages and cereals and their role in feeding for health and productivity.
Chairman for all three dates will be John Allen of Kite Consultancy.
There will also be a chance to speak one-to-one with both the speakers and a number of suppliers about which options are best for different farms. *
Dont be left in the dark when it comes to harvesting and feeding cereals for livestock. Be sure to book a place at one our conferences.
Conference venues are:
