PHYTOTECH, of New Jersey, aims to use genetically-modified plants that absorb toxins to clean up contaminated industrial sites.

The company aims to develop and market phytoremediation techniques to cleanse toxic urban wastelands. It has already worked on sites in Sheffield, and at Chernobyl in Georgia.
