Getting under way in Hertfordshire

AFTER harvesting some forage rape, Hertfordshire farmer Robert Law hopes to make a start on Fanfare barley on Wednesday (25 July).

“We will be pleased to start, after a few farmers made false starts last week.” He has 80ha (200 acres) of Fanfare and thinks it will be a good crop.

After that he predicts combining straight through till the end of harvest. He has more oilseed rape, oats and wheat.
