Go east for opportunity
DISILLUSIONED with farming in the UK? Looking for another investment opportunity with better long-term prospects?
The solution could be found in eastern Europe and, as such, the DTI is sponsoring a mission for British farmers to spend a week in Poland and Hungary visiting farms and talking to people "in the know".
"We dont expect anyone to come back with a farm, but they should come back with an understanding of whats going on and useful contacts," says East European Trade Council representative, Jeremy Elgin, who is organising the trip.
The mission, which takes in capital cities Warsaw and Budapest, is from Apr 19 to Apr 25 and costs £625 (including a £275 DTI subsidy). For more information, call Jeremy Elgin on (0171-2227622). *
