Government bans E coli cheeses
THE Government banned all cheeses made by Duckett & Co, in Wedmore, Somerset, from being distributed or sold because of links with E coli.
The emergency control order was signed after a 12-year-old boy was treated in hospital for an illness caused by the bacteria after eating a suspect Caerphilly-type bacteria.
Sedgemoor District Council found other cheeses produced by the company also contained the bug.
