THE UK market started the day on a firmer tone as the currency slipped to DM2.942, but gradually moved back to unchanged as Sterling recovered in the afternoon session. French prices improved slightly on short covering and logistical problems – there are not enough vehicles to deliver intervention as well as commercial grains.
