Wednesdays trading – 18 February 1998


THE Australian Wheat Board said yesterday (Wednesday) that Egypt had bought 150,000 tonnes of Australian wheat at a price estimated to be around $135. It is also rumoured that Egypt has purchased 150,000 tonnes of wheat from Argentina and France.

  • French FOB spot wheat value: FFr 827.50 (£ 82.87)
  • Chicago December wheat at close: $ 3.225 (£ 70.77)
