Greenfield sites can be saved
THERE is enough “brown” land to build huge numbers of homes in Britains towns and cities – and not encroach on the countryside, according to a national register.
But the greatest pressure on greenfield sites over the next 20 years will be in the south-east of England, reveals first survey by the National Land Use Database.
The Council for the Protection of Rural England, said the database made the case for there to be a priority for stronger planning policies for protecting rural land.
