Growers to swamp coffee market

BRAZILIAN coffee growers are gearing up for a production increase which could swamp the world market, reports the Financial Times.

This is despite its government last week agreeing to retain exports in a bid to increase prices.

Brazils ministry of agriculture predicts that coffee production will rise from 25.6 million 60kg bags over the past decade, to around 35.4m bags for future harvests.
