Hilliard to be Malton chief

MAX HILLIARD, managing director of Malton Foods, is to become the companys new chief executive.

Since Mr. Hilliard first joined the company some 20 years ago, the groups turnover has risen from 70 million to 600m.

It is now the biggest pigmeat processing company in the UK and one of the largest in Europe, employing 7000 people at 11 different sites.

Neil Hammond is returning to the factory to become the new managing director.
