Hoechst/Rhone-Poulenc merger to boost Aventis
AVENTIS Agriculture is set to become a force in agrochemicals following the announcement of a merger between Germanys Hoechst and Rhone-Poulenc of France.
The two companies are pooling their agrochemical interests in the new unit.
The merger of the two groups is creating the worlds largest life sciences group with US$20 billion-worth (£12.2bn) of annual sales.
