How best to press a lo-till seedbed
After using a Horsch FG cultivator during the autumn I am not sure whether a press roll is needed at the same time to reduce the need of someone else on the Cambridge rolls. I have tried with a Väderstad Rexius roll but it slowed the cultivator down too much. Is the new Horsch press any good for this?
I would stick with your current arrangement. You are right to keep the speed up on the cultivator to ensure it works properly.
I think you are best to roll separately with a Cambridge roll afterwards. The presses on offer dont do a complete job and will need following with a roller and also will slow down the cultivator.
The new presses are also new and therefore need further investment!
