Hunters hold final Cabinet picket

HUNT SUPPORTERS have held their final ‘Cabinet meeting‘ picket before the Hunting Bill returns to the House of Commons.
Countryside Alliance members staged the demonstration outside Downing Street on Thursday morning (Nov 11).
But because the protest coincided with Armistice Day, and there was a ceremony at the Cenotaph, the group halted proceedings between 10.30am and 11.30am.
On Friday (Nov 12) the Hunting Bill will have its Report Stage in the Lords and on Monday (Nov 15) it will receive its Third Reading.
The Bill will technically return to the Commons on Monday night, although MPs will not have an opportunity to consider the Lords‘ amendments until at least Tuesday.
Parliament will then potentially have three days (Nov 16, 17, and 18) in which to find a resolution on which both houses agree.
