By FWi staff
ICELAND founder Malcolm Walker has resigned as executive chairman ahead of a crisis board meeting, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Mr Walkers sudden departure from the frozen food chain follows his 13.5 million share sale last month, weeks before the company issued a severe profit warning.
The sale is currently being examined by the Financial Services Authority.
On Tuesday Iceland sales closed 5p down at 187.5p.
