DIFFERENCES of over £68/ha (£170/acre) in crop value between forage maize varieties are revealed in Kingshay Farming Trusts latest report, Early maize varieties at six marginal sites. "Choosing the right variety could make a difference of £5100 in estimated crop value for the average grower with 12ha (30 acres) of maize, says project specialist Richard Simpson.
