ONE-fifth of all fatalities in the workplace during the past year happened on a farm, according to figures released by the Health and Safety Executive.

Farm deaths accounted for 63 out of a total of 302 workplace fatalities, putting agriculture second only to the construction industry (98 deaths) as the most dangerous employment.
