FAMILY farming and the fabric of rural Ireland will be devastated by the EU commissions CAP reform plans, warns Irish Farmers Association deputy president, Michael Slattery. He called on commission president, Jacques Santer, to visit Ireland to see for himself how the proposals to move towards world market prices would devastate family farms.
