AS expected, O grade steer carcasses were eliminated from intervention this week, as GB deadweight prices came to more than 80% of the official support price. And, as FW went to press on Wednesday, the Meat and Livestock Comm-ission confirmed R grade carcasses had also gone over the 80% trigger for the second week and are likely to be ruled out of the next intervention tender on Sept 19.
