IN BRIEF

THREE years of research, including work at Dundees Abertay University and a spend of £250,000, have led to the launch of a new plant growth stimulant from Redicrop. Redicrop 2000 is five times more concentrated than the old product and includes osmoprotectants to guard against crop stress, says the manufacturer. By improving root development and reducing stress autumn use in cereal and oilseed rape crops can boost yield by up to 12%, says Redicrop. Cost is just over £8/ha for cereals and £16/ha for oilseed rape.
