&#8226 POLICE marksmen shot dead a bull after it trampled a farmer to death and seriously injured another. Leslie Snowden of Kyo Hall Farm, near Gateshead, was killed after the bull charged at him while he was tending to his cows. His brother, Ernest, was badly injured and was rushed to hospital when he collapsed after crossing fields to raise the alarm.

&#8226 CAMBS police are appealing for information after a tractor was stolen from a farm near Ely between Sept 24-25. The tractor is a 1990 Massey Ferguson 3080 bearing the index number H873FFL. Anyone with information should contact Ely police station (01353-662392).n
