&#8226 AN independent survey has indicated that investment in promoting the £1.35bn Welsh food industry is paying off. Over 63% of 1000 consumers interviewed in England and Wales recognised specific Welsh foods, compared with 43% in 1993. Only 0.3% did not think Welsh food was of average or better than average quality, and 67% associated Welsh lamb with high quality.
