&#8226 WOODHEY Hall, Nantwich, Cheshire, sold at auction. Offered in two lots, the main farm including 293 acres of arable and grassland in a ring fence was knocked down at £1.74m, while about £250,000 was attributed to the 771,000 litres of milk quota. A 48-acre block of grassland made £3438/acre.

&#8226 INCLUDING modern dairying facilities, a 167-acre holding changed hands in three lots, with quota and cows going separately. The farm near Bodmin, at St Wenn achieved an aggregate of £370,000 (£2215/acre).

&#8226 AFTER one week on the market a substantial mixed unit near Kelso, Roxburghshire was declared sold after the vendors received an accep-table offer – the asking price was £1.325m. The 675-acre unit was home to the 150-head Airies herd which later sold to a top of 5700gns. &#42
