IN BRIEF
• NET blotch infection is soaring in some crops of Regina barley in the south-west and Pearl in Norfolk, reports Dalgety Arable. Fungicide should be applied if infection exceeds 40%, advises the firms Bob Bulmer. "Use one that does not contain carbendazim. This fungicide can actually encourage net blotch in the long-term." Most forward crops are less well developed than wheat but are growing rapidly, says ADAS. *
