Irish farmers end sugar-beet dispute

IRISH sugar-beet growers have reached agreement with Greencore, paving the way for processing to restart in Ireland reports the Financial Times.
Greencore hopes intervention by the Irish government has settled a dispute with growers that had stopped its beet processing plants for three weeks.
David Dilger, Greencore chief executive, said the agreement was reached in the early hours of Thursday (29 November).
Processing should recommence “within days if not hours,” he said.
