Kuhn adds strength and more reliability to power harrows

KUHN Farm Machinerys new mid-range power harrows with their reinforced hitch frame and repositioning of the gearbox, are claimed to be stronger and more reliable than earlier models.

The 3m HR 303 and 4m HR 403 models are equipped with Duplex (D series) gearboxes rated at 170hp positioned centrally 20cm further back – an arrangement which reduces pto shaft angles when the machines are raised out of work.

A cam-type cut-out clutch is standard, as is a rear pto stub to allow drive to a pneumatic seed drill.

With 10 rotors on the HR 303 and 14 rotors on the HR 403, both models use Kuhns Fast Fit quick release blade mounting system.

Prices for the two models, each complete with a maxi crumbler roller unit, are £5730 and £7620 respectively.

lKuhn has developed a new power harrow blade for its HR 1003 and HR 103 machines. Designed for use in primary tillage work, the Twin Fit blade is claimed to provide greater soil loosening on unploughed land. Reversible and compatible with the Fast Fit system, the Twin Fit blades cost £9.61 each. &#42
