Lacey to give evidence at BSE inquiry
RICHARD LACEY, professor of clinical microbiology at Leeds University, will give evidence at the inquiry into BSE tomorrow.
Lacey made apocalyptic forecasts about the disease when it first emerged. He warned of a possible 500,000 cases of new variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease caused by eating infected meat.
