Land prices dip

AVERAGE values for good quality arable land now are less than the recent £3000/acre benchmark, reflecting a cumulative decline of 8% since mid-1997.

But it is holding its value more successfully than the poor to medium quality land.

Purchasers, who are now more discerning, are mainly looking to buy well-located good quality land, says FPDSavills research.
