LEAF shows way on farm plans
CEREAL GROWERS looking for a good idea of what the government requires from its whole farm plans have been advised to visit the Linking Environment and Farming stand.
The LEAF audit, now in an interactive version, includes management plans for soil, nutrient, manure and crop.
These can gain up to eight points per ha in the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs‘ new Entry Level Stewardship scheme.
“The response (to the new audit) is good and we now have over 450 users registered with very good feedback,” reported LEAF chief executive Caroline Drummond.
Information on LEAF‘s Speak Out interactive toolkit will also be available at its stand, along with details of its Virtual Farm Walk.
The LEAF website now offers people a chance to check where their LEAF Marque produce – a retailer green labelling initiative – comes from, added Ms Drummond.
