Liquidator urges probe into ostrich farm closure delay

COOPERS and Lybrand, liquidator for Ostrich Farming Corporation (OFC),
claimed a three-month delay by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in
closing the operation cost investors nearly £15 million.

It is urging an investigation by the parliamentary ombudsman into the DTIs
handling of the case.

OFCs liabilities reached £70m and creditors are unlikely to receive
more than 1p in the pound.
