Local referendums to ban fox hunting

THE campaign to ban fox hunting will take on new momentum today when Labour MPs are asked to sign up to the principle of local referendums to decide the issue.

A paper circulated by the parliamentary partys home affairs committee, which will arrive on MPs desks today, seeks their support for a new effort to outlaw hunting before the next general election.
