By FWi staff
MARKS & SPENCER has removed battery eggs and switched to free-range eggs in its food range, reports The Times.
Customer concerns were cited by the store as the reason behind the decision which will affect hundreds of products from ready-made meals to cakes.
The British Egg Information Service said the store was the first to use only British Lion Quality free-range eggs in all its egg products.
