Manager of year award to father and son
FATHER and son partnership Jim and Michael Masters from Edgarley Farm, Glastonbury, have scooped this years Promar Milkminder Manager of the Year award.
The partners were commended for their technical efficiency, achieving 5106 litres of a 8755-litre rolling yield/cow from forage. Promar said the Masters are in the top 1% of Milkminder producers.
Michael Masters said of his success: "We just farm to the best of our abilities, learn from mistakes and have had some luck along the way with excellent grazing this year and staying foot-and-mouth free." *
