Manitou handler limits
AN article in our Materials Handling Special (FW, Oct 12) discussed the towing of trailers by telehandlers. farmers weekly was informed that Manitou telehandlers do not have a limit on their towing capacities. This was incorrect.
Manitou now points out that its machines have limits based on the authorised total towed weigh (ATTW), drawbar pull and the maximum vertical force on the pick-up hitch.
This, says the company, varies on individual models and defining information is stated on the manufacturers plate in the cab. *
