Merlo adds telescopic

MERLOS P26.6 EVT brings the number of the firms telescopic loaders available to UK farmers to seven.

It joins the lower end of the companys TurboFarmer range, and with a 2m (6.6ft) width and 2.2m (7.2ft) height is clearly aimed at the stock farmer who requires a manoeuvrable machine capable of working in narrow feed passages and low roof heights.

Lift capacity of the P26.6 is rated at 2.6t to a height of 5.98m (19.6ft) with a two-section boom able to support 1.3t and at full horizontal reach.

As with other models in the range, the P26.6 is equipped with a side mounted, 114hp turbocharged Perkins engine powering a hydrostatic transmission.

The side mounted configuration, one now popular with several other telescopic loader manufacturers, enables the boom to be pivoted at a lower point and, as a result provides the operator with better visibility, particularly to the offside.

Four-wheel steering is standard and provides the now mandatory, all-wheel, front-wheel and crab-steer modes. Options extend to rear differential lock, front screen protection and rear tow hitch.

Price of the P26.6 EVT is listed at £33,600. &#42

Merlos P26.6 is aimed at the stock sector with its compact dimensions and 2.6t lift capacity to 5.98m.
