Mexico restricts US poultry imports
MEXICO has imposed restrictions on US poultry products in a move to press the USA into opening its market to Mexican livestock.
The new restrictions require US exports to test for a low-grade form of avian influenza before shipping poultry products.
Mexico is the only country to require the testing procedures which are not compatible with US practices.
US exporters say the measures will cost them up to $100m (£62m) in lost trade.
